Don Pizarro (not in costume!) welcomes you. We have a GREAT show. I would say come but we're almost sold out, you might get lucky though. It's been a lovely rehearsal period and wonderful to be a part of.
Great to be back at Longborough for our 1st Fidelio stage and piano
The weather is almost as spectacular as the place and our SHOW!
Longborough Fidelio cast dinner around the corner from rehearsals (which are going great!). Off to Longborough next week and opening 24/6.
This Autumn I shall mostly be singing Salerio in the Merchant of Venice at WNO. I'm having a great time with it. It feels like a lemon sorbet after all the Wagner and Verdi I've been doing the last few years. See HERE for more info.
... and goodbye lovely team and Richard and Jon. Love Opera Project, never problems only solutions.
Pensare Opera at Chiswick House and Gardens.Truly stupendous, brave audiences because...
What seriously lovely people. I had a great night, kinda mixed in with my 25th wedding anniversary but that's the rub of the green. It's always wonderful to sing with such wonderful conductors and with the BBC Concert Orchestra. A real treat.
Sasha took this at the big top G moment at the end of Nulla silenzio. The (excellent) conductor, Toby Purser, is having a proverbial cup of tea waiting for me to get to the cadence. Thanks Toby! Sasha always puts together the best gigs, always in the nicest surroundings.
I set up an audition for Western Australian Opera at the GSMD with the lovely Liz Marcus and the ever dashing Brad Cohen. OMG! Quite weird to be back after such an age.
So John calls me up to go through the score with me and I'm singing it through with him and it all feels absurdly easy. Ah yes I realise, I've been singing this little ditty for nearly 30 years.... A good night with the Harpenden Choral Society.
